چکیده

Kane and Wells recently argued that collider data point to a Higgsino-like lightest supersymmetric partner which would explain the dark matter in our Galactic halo. They discuss direct detection of such dark-matter particles in laboratory detectors. Here, we argue that such a particle, if it is indeed the dark matter, might alternatively be accessible in experiments which search for energetic neutrinos from dark-matter annihilation in the Sun. We provide accurate analytic estimates for the rates which take into account all relevant physical effects. Currently, the predicted signal falls roughly one to three orders of magnitude below experimental bounds, depending on the mass and coupling of the particle; however, detectors such as MACRO, superKamiokande, and AMANDA will continue to take data and should be able to rule out or confirm an interesting portion of the possible mass range for such a dark-matter particle within the next five years. @S0556-2821~97!00304-4#

Higgsino cold dark matter motivated by collider data.

Motivated by the supersymmetric interpretation of the CDF eeγγ+ / ET event and the reported Z → bb̄ excess at LEP, we analyze the Higgsino as a cold dark matter candidate. We examine the constraints as implied by the collider experiments, and then calculate its relic density. We find that this Higgsino-like lightest supersymmetric particle is a viable cold dark matter candidate (0.05 < Ωh < 1), ...

Direct, Indirect and Collider Detection of Neutralino Dark Matter In SUSY Models with Non-universal Higgs Masses

In supersymmetric models with gravity-mediated SUSY breaking, universality of soft SUSY breaking sfermion masses m0 is motivated by the need to suppress unwanted flavor changing processes. The same motivation, however, does not apply to soft breaking Higgs masses, which may in general have independent masses from matter scalars at the GUT scale. We explore phenomenological implications of both ...

A minimal supersymmetric scenario with only μ at the weak scale

Inspired by split supersymmetry, we study a minimal supersymmetric scenario with only the Higgsino mass parameter μ below the TeV scale. The motivation is to satisfy the gauge coupling unification and dark matter constraints with the minimal particle contents at the electroweak scale in supersymmetric models. With the neutral Higgsino as the lightest supersymmetric particle, we discuss the dark...

Collider , direct and indirect detection of supersymmetric dark matter

We present an overview of supersymmetry searches, both at collider experiments and via searches for dark matter (DM). We focus on three DM possibilities in the SUSY context: the thermally produced neutralino, a mixture of axion and axino, and the gravitino, and compare and contrast signals that may be expected at colliders, in direct detection (DD) experiments searching of DM relics left over f...

Neutralino Dark Matter Detection in Split Supersymmetry Scenarios

We study the phenomenology of neutralino dark matter within generic supersymmetric scenarios where the Gaugino and Higgsino masses are much lighter than the scalar soft breaking masses (Split Supersymmetry). We consider a low-energy model-independent approach and show that the guidelines in the definition of this general framework come from cosmology, which forces the lightest neutralino to hav...
